Lodging

Call (503) 965-5001 for reservations early, especially for "vacation weekends" and the whole month of july and august.

It is located directly behind and north of the large hotel - the Cape Kiwanda Inn. Showers are available. We will share the expense (15 dollars per night) for the campground. A large group tent can be provided if requested. All you need to bring are clothes, sleeping bag and pad. The beach, restaurants, and training area is all within walking distance

The Pacfic City Inn. It has great three bedroom suites (with extra cots available), free breakfast, and wonderful bistro. Its a great value for a group of four. Tell Jeff, the owner, "John, the hang gliding instructor sent us".

Inland Lesson Location

Directions:

  • Turn on Airport rd from 99W.
  • Cross railroad tracks and immediately
  • Turn left on Plumley Ave
  • and go 500 feet
  • Turn right on Plumley Ln
  • at sign that says "corporate hangars"
  • Call 541 913 1339 at locked gate to get the entry code.

Lessons during the summer season of July, August and September, at the inland training hill, occur earlier, before the thermals and wind picks up.
